marah betul.

did anyone notice Marie Digby actually commented my previous post? did you did you did youuuu? i’m so proud of myself :)

anyways. yesterday, i was out looking for something to wear for my cousin’s wedding dinner which will be on this saturday. it was me, jasmine and my mom. dad dropped us off at One Utama and he went to get some things settled. walked around, tried on some clothes and wasn’t too happy with anything. so after lunch, the 3 of us decided to walk to The Curve, from One Utama.

not a good idea, it looked pretty far. so we decided to go by cab. cab costed us RM6. not bad what.

walked around The Curve, Cineleisure, again, nothing. jasmine bought something. and i decided, okayyyy i think i want something i tried on in One Utama. so we wanted to go back to One Utama, AGAIN :P

there were a few cabs outside The Curve and i asked how much will it cost to go to OU. and the dude said RM15.

my jaw dropped. thats like 3 times the price!

the drivers hanging out there claimed that they were standby cabs. and standby cabs would cost more. they were really rude though, thats why i’m blogging about this. see, my mom wasn’t happy with the price, i mean its frikkin RM15 for such a short distance! so she asked more. and i can’t exactly remember how the conversation went, but i pretty much remember what the taxi driver said:

“ha, ini standby taxi. standby taxi memang mahal. kalau nak murah, pergi luar tu, stop taxi ronda sendiri lah.”

i was like WTF. i should have argued about the price, but then i dont know a shit about this standby cab system so i figured i should keep my mouth shut. besides, there were a few of them there. didn’t want to look for trouble.

but thing is, even if this system DOES exist, - why should it cost so effin much?! thats like THREE times the normal price!

to me, it looks more like these men are too lazy to look for passengers, and they’re just sitting around puffing cigarettes outside the mall “hangin’ out”. instead of wasting time being useless taxi drivers, why won’t you just go around and look for passengers? why do WE need to pay for the time YOU wasted not going around looking for YOUR own money?

of course we didn’t take the “standby cab” and splurge RM15 on that. we stopped a cab on the roadside and the driver said it would cost only RM5!

that also, he made one SUPER huge round to go back to OU and according to the meter, it was RM5.30. so he asked my mom for an extra 30 cents. my mom and i were saying, if he asked for an extra ringgit also we don’t mind.

hmp.
