Marie Digby, Live in KL.
i went! it was a last minute decision so i wasn’t really prepared. i’m not a big fan of her either, and the only song i know is, DHUH, her cover for Umbrella.
honestly, it sucked. i started waiting at 7pm (show starts at 8pm), people were crowding the place by 7.20pm. it was hot, and people around me were getting very annoying. this dude in front of me kept moving in and out of the crowd, and whenever he wanted to return back to his spot, he wouldn’t even say Excuse Me, instead he just pushes his way through. JERK.
and during the show, this KDU dude behind me came SO FRIGGIN CLOSE I COULD BLARDY FEEL HIS BLARDY PENIS POKING MY ASS. fucktard. i know lah you want to get in front, if you wanted to be in front, next time come earlier can?
and before the concert started, this girl suddenly collapsed. i was like “shiiiieeeeeeettttt somebody call ambulanceeeeeee!!!!” but of course, i did not say that lah. a few seconds later, she gained consciousness and was totally fine.
oh i got Marie’s autographhh! yay and i met her. Marie isn’t exactly a loud person, she’s in fact a very soft spoken laydeehh. like i said, i’m not a big fan, so when i went in to get my CD signed, i only said Hi. no shaking of hands, nothing. and she didn’t say anything too! but as i turn around to walk away (of course after a Thanks), she said “Hey, nice color.”
i was wearing an electric blue blouse.
oh yeah and before that. fans (plus me!) were already queuing up outside the GAP store to get Marie’s autograph before she even made her way there. it was probably around 15 minutes when people started running towards us like a hurricane. and all i could say was “whoa whoa whoa.”
next thing i know, i see countless bouncers escorting your royal Marie-ness towards the store. one of her bodyguards fucking pushed me away! and his arms were on my boobs WTF. okay its not like his hands were on my boobs lah mind you. its just that he was pushing people away, and it so happened my boobs were at the level of his arms - okay nevermind, forget it.
photos’ quality are pretty bad, can’t blame the photographer for she does not own a DSLR. okay? deal with it. and yeah, ignore the date -__-
i have more, but my blardy PC won’t recognize my phone’s USB connecszionn. hmp.
on a whole, the showcase was pleasantly fine, but it could’ve been a lot better.

I am sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy the show ! I really had a lovely time… I had a smile on my face the whole way back home. I had never been in a situation like that with bodyguards and all.. in fact, I’ve never had any escorts like that before. I had to tell them to slow down because they were pushing people (which I didn’t agree with at all ) and they were about to push me into the ground as well !! I was like a rag doll. I was given all kinds of orders that night - left and right - Don’t stop, only sign one thing, don’t take pictures.. Now that I’ve experienced that, I know what needs to happen differently next time. Everyone needs to chill out !! lol..
But more importantly, I remember you very well and of course your beautiful bright blue blouse :)
I was wondering, if you don’t like me or my music, what compelled you to wait in a line to get a cd signed? Either way, I really appreciate that you took the time to come at all. Thank you for having me in your hometown to play.

it really wasn’t your fault i didn’t enjoy myself during the performance. you were greattt! and i know that because i was there during the soundcheck too! and you sounded great that night. and also veeery pretty :)
but i suppose it was the environment i was in, the people around me who were annoying the crap out of me. but i experienced this in concerts ive been to before but it didn’t really bother me as much as it did in this one. because your show was supposed to be like a laid back acoustic show. and people were pushing, so it wasn’t very pleasant.

i didn’t say i dont like your music, i just never really paid attention to your work. and after the show that night, ive watched several of your videos on YouTube and i really liked your cover of Gimme More :P i waited in line because, well you’re Marie Digby lol who would want to miss that? and i now have your album (which i got right before the show that night just so i get to meet you) which totally rockss. i really like what youre doing as a musician.

Oh, well I’m really glad to hear that. (and yes ! it’s me.. lol.. I’m trying to make my rounds on people’s blogs.. at least the ones that will let me comment … ) I arrived home a few hours ago and I’ve been on the computer non-stop ! I know that sometimes I’m too sensitive (maybe that’s what makes me a songwriter) but it really saddens me when people get the wrong idea about me or my intentions or doesn’t enjoy a show!
