some of you have probably know this, but to those who do not, i recently “entered” this contest by Michael. here was what happened.

Michael won first prize for the Malaysian Dreamgirl blog contest on week 3. i suppose he doesn’t live in Klang Valley, therefore he couldn’t go collect his prize at the Nuffnang office; which is in KL.

being “generous” enough, he decided to hold a contest on his blog to give out this prize he won, which is a RM500 worth of Escada/Wella products. this “contest” required people to leave comments on his blog, saying why should they win the prize.

and being the person i am, i entered this (so called) contest lah. i actually put in effort in winning it because i wasn’t planning on buying my mom a gift for Mother’s Day.

there were the 8 of us when the voting started. in case you were wondering, yes i did vote for myself. well at least i’m admitting it. i also dengan segala tak malunya, kindly asked close friends to vote for me on his blog. for approximately 2 or 3 times, i was informed by Michael that i was in the lead.

a few hours later, when i went back to check on the voting results, suddenly there were two extra people on the voting list. copykate, and someone else. OKAY LAH, SUDDENLY HE DECIDES TO OPEN THE COMPETITION AGAIN AND ACCEPT MORE PARTICIPANTS. FOINE.

so i just left the people to vote lah, since i could only vote for myself twice, once with Mozilla, the other with IE :P

the next day, i went to his blog to check on the results again. this time, he eliminated the 5 participants with the lowest votes and people with the 5 highest votes were still in the running. i think there were copykate, super pampered princess, charmayne, robin and me.

this time, Mr. Project Manager decides to make the contest more “INTERESTING”. he said, whoever buys him a RM30 Digi Prepaid Reload card and owns the highest votes will automatically win the prize. i was startled by his “INTERESTING” approach to the contest, so i left him a comment saying, “what if i DO get the highest votes but i dont buy you the prepaid card?”

i dont quite remember the exact words, but he made it clear that whoever buys him that prepaid card will be announced the winner of the contest.

this morning, when i went back to check his blog, i see this:

“copykate.. congratulations you won.”

or at least something like that. you get the idea.

so i was thinking lah. did she win because she bought him the prepaid card? or did she really get the highest amount of votes? well I DON’T KNOW. and i probably don’t want to know either. but i’m glad i didn’t win; because people would’ve doubted the voting results too, and having questions like i have about copykate too.

but what i’m not happy about is, copykate probably put in 7.5% of effort into her “slogan”. there were other people who did so much better than her slogan like ME (dhuh), super pampered princess and No. 44444. i know its not about “the longer the better”. but from the amount of words she used, is it really possible there are good enough statements to make her the winner?

this contest is not a big deal, and i don’t want to make a fuss over it. but when things like that happen, ayoh.

obviously, Mr. BLOGGER MICHAEL JOHN KON only wants to gain traffic for his blog lah. so friggin pathetic. fame whore. and just so you know, i’m not mad because i did not win, i’m mad because copykate won.

UPDATE: in case you were wondering, yes, the blardy coward deleted every single post on that blardy contest. and, copykate DID NOT buy him the prepaid card. apparently, he gave her the prize because she scolded him. i know, WTF.
