its the 13th of April 2008! and its Jasmine’s 16th birthdaaaaaaay :) happy birthday sistaaaah! you know i love you :)

so i planned a surprise party for her. trust me, it is not easy planning a surprise party. the lies and the pretending you have to make, it ain’t easy brotha.

but everything turned out great in the end. although out of the 20 people i expected to come, only 14 people came. not bad i suppose? but its depressing when people can’t come after all the hard work you’ve put into making this a success. seriously.

my mom ordered a lot of food from a makcik that regularly sells food at her office. and when i say a lot, i mean 7 sumos bloated A LOT. worst thing was, jasmine’s friends didn’t even touch the food my mom ordered. we didn’t cook and purposely ordered from a Malay lady so that they would eat. but they only settled with the nuggets and drummets and the potato salad Amy made. oh drinks too.

its disappointing a little but its all part of planning a party la. i now know my mistakes and hopefully in the future ill be a better party planner, fingers crossed :)

so anywayss. the expression on my sister’s face was priceless lah. she even told me she nearly cried when she was hugging her friends to thank them AWWW! i have a video but my camera is out of batt so you have to stay tuned if you want to see it :)

so after the party, we went out to walk around. my cousin brother’s getting married next month so we’re getting new clothes! and like Chinese New Year, it is compulsory! bcs we say so haha. and its always fun when you get to buy things without feeling guilty for spending too much money on unnecessary clothing. cos we’re no shopaholics right sistaaaah? :D

soo while walking around, i managed to get myself a DRESS! yesssss you read that right i will be wearing a dress! in what, like 10 years? the last time i wore a dress was probably during a concert i did with Sara Amelia when we were 7 or 8 years old. we played the piano for a concert okaaaaaaaay? now i dont even know how to read the notes -_-

i was super happy with my purchase and my mom was too, IN THE BEGINNING. and she kept asking me to try it on to let her see. then when i finally tried it on she gave me bad comments. WHICH IS SUPER DISAPPOINTING, I CAN JUMP OFF A 98 STORREY BUILDING. i hate it when she does that. and the comments she made wasn’t even about me looking bad in the dress. its so indirect, its annoying. like, “eh why this part like this one?”. or, “eh why the back so short one?”.
